First round pairings and tee times determined by handicap. Second and third round pairings and tee times determined by score. Prizes awarded for first and second low grossĀ in each flight. Match Play
This is a week long event that guarantees each participant at least three rounds of golf. Entry fee includes greens fees and cart. Matches and tee times determined by first round stroke play qualifier. Low first round score is awarded "Medalist" and top seed in Championship flight. All seeds, flights and matches determined by first round scores. If you are the top seed in your flight, you will face the last seed in your flight in the first match. Match play is hole by hole. If you get a 4 on a hole and your opponent gets a 5, you win that hole and go 1-up. If your opponent comes back and wins the next hole, you two are back to even, and so on. First match winners advance to next round, losers move to consolation bracket. From that point on, if you lose, you are out. Championship matches between final two competitors in each flight are held at the end of the week. The winner of Championship Flight is considered the Jackson County women's champion golfer for the year. See current schedule for dates and contact information.
